While looking at the DW ads on Gunbroker, I came across a 357 maximum barrel and shroud which causes me to wonder. This would fit a 15-2 357 mag frame would it not? Was it not just designed for a frame with a maximum cylinder and stamped/etched accordingly? ThxÂÂ

No, it will not fit. SuperMags are a modified large frame, 15-2 is a small frame. Shroud won't fit, barrel threaded differently.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Becareful on these the Max barrels have a donut on both ends and as Steve said are for the SM only. Now Shrouds of small frames will interchange 22, 32, 32-20, 357 and large frames 44, 45, 357 max, and so on. Barrles how ever are caliber and frame matched!ÂÂ
