Hey guys,

I have a story to share... I went to have lunch with my wife today and on my way home thought I would swing by my favorite gun shop. Since I was on that side of town it would have obviously been a shame not to stop. I knew they currently have 4 model 15’s in very good condition but I already have 2 15’s myself.

As I make my way around the showcases the owner is working on tags for two 7445 SuperMags in the box they just got in. I’m thinking to myself these are going to be in the $600 - $700 range. Well I’m talking to him and he puts $365 on the first one (missing the rear and front sights) and $465 on the second.

I just bought a 445 SuperMag back in April and I obviously don’t need another one, but $365 who can pass this up so I take it. As I’m filling out the papers and talking to the owner I remarked I should take the other one as well. So needless to say the second is on lay-a-way now. It’s $465 and both have the box and tool. Also included is the spent case. I know all six chambers have not been fired on the one I have at home now.

Case he’s writing up the ticket for the second one we realize that they are consecutive serial numbers. Needless to say I think I got a good deal on these. Once I get the other one I will post pictures of both. Also with a quick call to Genny at DW new sights are on the way.

So was I crazy?

One other thing.  These are pre-CZ guns and the shrouds have no markings at all.  I guess the question now is to shoot or not to shoot?  Leaning towards not shooting since I have a blued 445 Monson gun to shoot.

Are you crazy?  Based on this purchase, H@#% No!Laughing

What a score. . . very nice find.

If you stumble across any more deals like this. . . I'd be happy to take them off your hands!

Jody,

To answer the "to shoot or not" question. . . my preference is to shoot em unless they are purchased strictly for investment/resale.  Otherwise, what is the joy in having them?

Your mileage may vary. . . .

DrMike,

I think I'll have to agree.  Since I'll have two I can always shoot one and put the other one back.  I had my Monson 445 SuperMag laying beside the new one and I just realize that the new one has a 10" barrel not 8".  Guess I was so excited about the price I didn't look close at the details.

Image Enlarger

The stainless is the new one Norwich gun and the blued one is a Monson gun.  I'll take better pics once I can get outside.

Jody,

Very nice looking guns, the blued is a little difficult to see, but a sweet looking pair!

Excellent find, Jody!  Great pictures too.  I'm glad to hear the good deals can still be found.

Great find.

I out here in the Pacific Northwest have only seen one DW in a shop local on consignment they wanted twice what it was worth. Love the none fluted cylinders.
