Does anybody know if the springs in the large frame are different from the small frame springs? Â I'm thinking of replacing the springs in my 740 but all I can find are small frame springs. Â Thanks.

I believe that they most certainly are. Call DW. They sell spring kits.

Thanks Mike. Â I left a message for them. Â (They were closed when I called.) Â Rationally I expect them to be different, but my impatience is getting the better of me. Â It's interesting that Wolff apparently doesn't make springs for the large frame guns.

Just some info.  I spoke with Priscilla at Dan Wesson this morning.  She confirmed that the springs in the large frame guns are different from the springs in the small frame guns.  Mine should be here in a week or so.  I already have the new cylinder and hammer.  Pretty soon my 740 should be as good as new.  Then it is 
 time.
