Could you use a flux on the cases before you fill them to get the lead to bond to the brass as solder would. You could try with electricians flux or make your own with boric acid.

Have you not looked at the pics of my recovered bullets? Dont need no stinking flux before ya pour the lead. I have no problem with the lead not staying in the 40 S+W jacket.

I just bought a .445 supermag bbl for (another) gun and I also shoot a Monson built 10" 44 mag . The .40 s&w brass is just by chance .428-.429 in diameter so makes perfect Jacket material for swaging your own . I am useing a corbin csp-1 swage press and making 265 jsp (truncated cone bullets ) almost identical to Speer in profile ! and they cost nearly 0 . If I can figure out how to post some pics I'll show e'm off !
