Is this 15-2 trigger return spring positioned correctly?

Is the leg of this trigger return spring in the correct position or should it be resting where the red dot is? It seemed odd to me it would be trapped on the inside of the lower hand and might interfere with it's movement. I know the previous owner had experimented with different trigger springs.

The red dot marks the spot alright. The leg of the trigger return spring should be resting on that little ledge.
