My mod. 44 has a egged out hammer pivot pin hole .The taper for the pin is off center so the pin dosent go all the way through on the other side. Also the hole looks like it is not straight, when assembled the hammer looks angled in the frame. The hole is 11/64 ths on the side away from the taper and just a little smaller on the tapered side. When you move the hammer the pin moves around.

Has anyone else had this problem it looks like a factory defect.I haven't called cz yet as I'm not the original owner.Maybe somebody can ream the holes true and make a new pin. I assume the hammer hole is harder than the hinges of hell.Any suggestions?

the dealer I bought it from will take it back but i realy wanted a dan wesson and I have what amounts to 345.00 in it so I could put some repair money in and still be ok I think.

thanks in advance for any info  Hayseed.

Give Kieth at DW Norwich a call and see what he says. At least you will know what the cost to repair will be. Good luck.
