Looks like lbcustomgrips.com has been down for a little while now. I was wondering if LB still took orders?

I tried a couple years ago, but got no response.  I’ve since read on here that he is something like 2-3 yrs behind on orders and stopped taking new ones.  Someone on here will know more.

I bought some nice burl a year ago but LB said he was not accepting orders it appears we are all waiting.  He made me three grips about five years ago they are fantastic.

I’ve only gotten 1 from him about 5 yrs ago and love it.  I’d buy 10 more in a heartbeat.

I sent him a big piece of lightered pine. Lighter knot. He only got one grip out of it. The wood had so many fractures. He said he will never make another. He had to clean all his tools with kerosene. It is translucent, like amber. I coated it with polyurethane so it would not be sticky. One day I will drill a hole in the butt and put a LED light inside and it will glow. I have several more acquired from ebay, etc.

He could easily charge 3 to 4 times what he charges IMHO. Consider the prices of pre war Magnas, Cokes, Ropers, and 1st and 2cd Gen Python grips.

I never learned to download pictures. I have a mental block about technology. No patience except for growing bonsai. screwy. Besides, I wouldn't want to promote envy. I think I have the worst case of DWAS on record.

I had never used a computer except those that took up a whole wall back in the 70s. The whole curser and monitor thing made me ill. Vertigo. I had never surfed the internet, sent an email, Googled, used Wikipedia, or shopped on eBay. I bought my first firearm in Nov, 2012. I bought half a dozen guns I figured I needed to protect my family from crime and tyranny. Then I saw my first Dan Wesson Pistol Pack. I researched it with my wife's help and went back to the LGS. Alas, the unfired pack on sale for $1300 had been sold for 900. Well, then I discovered Gunbroker. I learned to use a smart phone, shop eBay, send emails, join the forum, etc. But I still haven't loaded pictures. I will get my IT department (wife) to show me how. I promise. It may take a while though. One of my super powers is the power of procrastination. 🙄

Yeah, you sound a bit like me...learning the interwebz just enough to make the system work in your favor for as long as you need it. wink Myself, I learned (and mastered) to post photos on car forums set up much like this one 20+ years ago, only this one it recently made it a little tougher for whatever reason. But I've got this. So PM me if you need help, and I will do my best to help show off whatever you wanna show off as a MOD. 'Cuz I have some tools in da-box. cool

And I'm not always here, but I will do my best to be timely. mad

Thank you Charger Fan. One of my other Super Powers is my incredible power of PROCRASTINATION. 😳.  Of course, to do bonsai for almost 5 decades I also have incredible patience. So I wait and wait.

My mother used to try to motivate me to do my  schoolwork by telling me I can do anything I want. What she meant was with hard work and perseverance I can achieve any goal I set. But my young brain took it literally and I did what ever I wanted and that didn't include homework. I eventually learned diligence and went back to college but ended up back doing what I wanted. Restaurant work. I had a 30 seat white tablecloth restaurant and worked 90 hours week. I told myself I was going to take a vacation amounting to the equivalent of 50 hrs a week for 16 years. I am now making up for all that overtime. So, I will learn, with your help, to post pictures.but it will have to wait until bonsai repotting season is over. The other problem is I take lousy pictures. 🙄.
