The factory letter states the type of Stocks as "not listed" so, they could be but I doubt it.
 I bought it from the grandson of the original owner who said they had always been on
there but they're Franzite grips which I think became popular in the 50s.Â
 Maybe they were around before that. I found this ad in a SEP '44 Popular Mechanics
 Magazine (p.164):
