OfflineI've been collecting Dan Wesson's for a while now and have purchased and assembled a few pacs in various calibers. So I recently decided to venture out and put together a new kind of pack. The Mark III is mated with a Tactical Solutions stainless steel-lined aluminum upper with a Cascade suppressor. The P22 is mated with a Silencerco Sparrow suppressor. For those of you who live in states where suppressors are legal, if you haven't seen the Sparrow yet, check it out on Silencerco.com. They're awesome units. Â

That looks fun!
Actually, it looks like the sort of hardware you'd see in the movies...like I said, FUN!
As far as which setup I like better, it's really a toss-up. The Ruger components are both made by Tactical Solutions and have the same O.D., so when assembled it's a slick, well-balanced unit that feels and handles like it's one piece. The Sparrow is a little bit longer but I believe provides a little better sound suppression. The Sparrow can also be disassembled for cleaning and has a unique liner that prevents lock-up from lead build-up.Â
Contrary to what many believe, suppressors are actually legal to own in 36 states (the last I checked). Pinetor - MS is one of them. This of course is provided that all NFA rules are complied with for Title II weapons, and it is registered wtih BATFE on Form 4 and the $200 transfer tax is paid. Your local Class III Dealer can help anyone interested through the process, which takes about 4-5 months to complete. And yes, they are FUN!!!
