Saw this in a local gun shop, walked away from it but bought it the next morning because dreamed about it all night. It is a Savage 516 in .223 Remington, hold three rounds. Left hand bolt, right hand ejection. The gun was not shot often but needed much work on the trigger. Got it adjusted to my liking, eliminated the creep and overtravel. Fun gun on the range.

That looks sweet! I hate when that happens: You see something you like and it worries you until you go ahead and get it. I like the .223. I have one in the T/C with a 3-9 scope. That muzzle brake really helps on the .223. Enjoy shooting it and give us a range report when you can.

Congrats on the Savage! I have an original Fireball XP-100 that was re-chambered to .223 and it is a lot of fun to shoot.
