This is my latest contender project. It's a 350 GNR from Gary Reeder Custom Guns. The 350 GNR is a 405 Winchester necked down to .35 caliber. This gun with its 15 inch barrel has the same power level of a 35 Whelen in a long barreled rifle. The gun easily produces 1 inch groups at 100 yards while generating the recoil of a hot 357 magnum thanks to the built in muzzle brake. The grip set was built by High Plains Gun Stocks in royal jacardi red laminate. The gun also features a Leopold base and ring set and a 2-6 power Bushnell Elite 3200 scope. This gun is such a pleasure to shoot that you can easily fire off 200 rounds in a sitting without a glove and without the need to put your hand on ice afterward like some of my other lesser barrels.

That is  purty. Great picture and sounds like even greater cartridge. You wouldn't catch me shooting 200- 475 Linebaughs in one outing with or without a glove. Sounds like a great caliber for ground hawg plinking.Â

Very nice. I love the Contender/Encore guns and have a bunch of them. Some are factory, some are custom. The customs are a lot of fun, with so many options available. Maybe I'll post some pics of mine someday.
