I believe that amnesty for illegals is next ... followed by cap and trade ... but eventually he'll get around to coming after our guns.

Well my fellow partiots.........A muslim has infiltrated and killed America from within.  With smoke and mirrors and hollow promises to gullible youngins and minorities he swindled the position to deal our country a devastating blow.  I fear for my children.

God bless us all!

I sense another run on guns and ammo?

That's for sure.Cry

Now that global warming has been debunked, I don't think cap-n-tax will get very far...but amnesty...yep, I bet that's next on the plate.

History lesson:

Eighteenth Amendment:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eighteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution

Twenty first Amendment:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty-first_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution

A powerful Special Interest coalition shoved an invasive, dictatorial initiative on people that didn't want it. In the case of Prohibition, it didn't even restrict a Constitutional Right, like RTKBA.

Another cycle of Congresscritter elections comes around every two years (including Senators, can you spell Scott Brown?), and this kind of stuff can get fixed, not quickly, but it can get fixed. Once people find out what this really costs and what it takes away from them, I hope there will be a solid American groundswell effort to find a way to do the right thing for everyone.

Easy? NO!

Important? YES!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I wouldn't call that government run healthcare because the very next day the stock market in the area of health insurance companies rallied heavily. The industry wrote most of that bill and they made sure that they turned it into their cash cow. The billion that they spent in lobbying money really paid off. Now we have a mandate to buy something with no cost controls. And better yet if you can't afford it your tax dollars will subsidize it creating more sky rocketing debt for the treasury. And if the subsidy isn't enough, and or you fall between the cracks the IRS will garnish your tax return and send every penny back to the insurance industry in the form of subsidizing someone elses premiums. We've all heard of circular logic, well this is circular theft by an industry that spends more money on lobbying than the oil industry. There's areas where the government is needed yet it's absent in the bill, and where it's not needed it's there.

On the bright side it will save lives, maybe even tens of thousands each year who couldn't get care before. And it will save money but only in one area, and that's uninsured emergency room visits. Most of those bills go unpaid and the patient is only able to get treatment while in the ER. If they have something chronic they can't see a specialist so they go back to the ER which costs more than to see a specialist. As a result they get sicker and sometimes die and it costs more to play the ER game than to actually treat them. This puts the hospitals in debt and that debt is covered by your insurance premiums, your cost of medical care, and your state tax dollars. The state is required to keep the hospitals in business so they subsidize the bad debt to keep their doors open. The result is that everyone pays more and the uninsured get bad care. The cost of being uninsured and sick spills into other areas of our society costing everyone even more.

I've been uninsured since 2002 after getting hurt on the job and then loosing my comp case because I had a minor car accident before I was awarded an MRI by the comp commission. At that point I couldn't prove my case before the commission because the car accident was in the way. So after 3 back surgeries and 1 neck surgery, the loss of nearly everything I owned accept for my car, I'm now back on my feet but I'm uninsurable. A small company plan would cost me almost as much as my house payment which I can't afford in a recession. So in 4 years I'll get some half ass help but in the long run the system will collapse because of costs, so everyone is screwed thanks to our government.

I don't think you will hear anything about gun control for a while on the federal level. I do think it will happen eventually because unless they (both parties) suddenly take up an interest in fixing the nations problems it will be too late and then I guess martial law will take care of the guns. I try to stay optimistic because I've got a 6 year old son but I really can't. Everyone has their hand in the treasury which is currently full of loaned money which we can't pay back. If America was a business it would have been gone long ago.

Big changes are coming folks, and most of us aren't going to like it.

I wish it was all that simple. As in Obama the Muslim etc. The same hand controls both parties and they love it when the peasants fight amongst their selves over which side is better. The problem that we have in this country is that corporations control the government. All you have to do is follow the money trail and you will see exactly what I mean. Now I may sound like a socialist because I'm blaming corporations but that's not the case. We are supposed to have an elected government that answers to the people, but the people can't write a big enough check to win our elected officials over who need that money to get elected and stay in office. So they take money from big special interests who need to make a profit regardless if it causes everyone in the country problems. Our government serves them and not us, the people.

Let me give you one example out of perhaps thousands on how corporate America has taken the government away from us. Did you know that the FDA is allowed under federal law to hold stock shares in private companies? They are, and they own private stocks in various small and large pharmaceutical companies. Right now there are lawsuits pending which have been filed by competing companies awaiting FDA drug approvals because they claim that the FDA is stonewalling the approval of drugs that would pose a competitive threat to drugs owned by companies that the FDA hold private stock shares in. This info came out on the MSN Finance website under press releases over the last year or so. A friend of mine makes his living as a day trader and he keeps tabs on all of this stuff.

Take a look at Obama's cabinet, it's all wall Street people. It's the most Wall Street friendly administration in US history. That's why you won't see real reforms. And if you vote in the other guy, well he works for them to.

Oh, and in case it couldn't get any worse, it will. There's a numbers game going on right now in the EU. The Muslims want world domination and many of them have realized that blowing up things isn't going to work. So they've decided to integrate while being separate in an attempt to eventually take over. And with that comes the forced acceptence of Islam via the infiltration of government, just to name one infection point among many. The culture battle is already happening in Europe and America is next. Conservatives are on the right side of this battle because the PC liberal (politically correct) are willing to hand the keys to the proverbial city over to the Muslims, while the conservatives are opposed to it.

You know, the Mayan calender is really starting to look promising right now.

If you think cap and trade sucks, well it will suck even more once they finally pass it, and then do nothing with the money. The money isn't going to promote new energy sources because we already have them. In 2001 and I can find the article if you really want it, the congress had a closed door committee meeting regarding about 2,000 energy patients. The meeting was to determine whether or not these patients should be opened and subject to congressional review in light of the so called energy crisis. These patents were seized by the federal government under a federal gag order as a matter of national security. There were thousands more that were siezed but these pertained to weapons related systems. The 2,000 estimated energy related patients were for new energy technologies including one called a magnatron fusion engine for big rigs. It took $15 bucks worth of a specific mineral and the engine would power a semi for 100,000 miles before it needed refueling. That was one patient siezure that was leaked out by localized media before being shut down. The patient holder had a contract with Grey Hound bus to begin retrofitting a portion of the entire fleet of buses as a test run. Before production was established the patient holder received the federal gag order. Now if there's 2000 more related patients, what do you think they're for?

They want to tax carbon, dump the money into certain places (cronies) while putting the bulk of it into the international monetary fund. At that point the UN gets control over it, not good. Now about that hearing, well the measure didn't pass the commitee because it was decided that these patients where such a threat to national security that congress couldn't not review them. To put that in english, special interests had their way and the congressional review never happened. It's like the Federal Reserve which is a private bank that lends us our fiat currency at 1% interest so we always have national debt. You would think that such an a private entity with so much power would be auditied on a regular basis. Nope, everytime congress tries, it never happens. In fact, the federal reserve has never been audited since it's creation. I bet you that a lot of crooks would go to jail if they did. I'll also bet you that a lot of Obamas cabinet might go to the big house to, wouldn't that be nice?
