I really can't believe folks are blaming the tool and not the murder.... How is that not understandable? How plainly do you have to state it?
BTW,
The CDC already researched laws and crime with firearms: "The Task Force found insufficient evidence to determine the effectiveness of any of the firearms laws or combinations of laws reviewed on violent outcomes."
Feel free to cut and paste on all the outdoor or other forums you believe are appropriate.

If I read that correctly, ALL semi auto firearms will be illegal to even own, so doesn' that mean they want them turned in? Sounds like confiscation to me. I' not even sure our Dan' would be exempt, due to the barrel shroud clause. Also, isn't a double action revolver semi automatic in the strictest sense? Seems like all we will be left with is pump shotguns, double barrels and bolt action and pump rifles and lever actions. This is a giant over reach of power by Congress. I don' think it has a snowballs chance if getting passed in such a broad form.

I don't think so either. David Cicilline is merely doing the usual knee-jerk reaction the left always does, by wanting to "ban them all". I think it's a play to get his face in the news as "doing something", simply for re-election purposes.
