I know this started past Friday, but I had a couple interesting article links I wanted to share.  There is one for a petition to sign going to ATF on this ammo brief. If you enjoy your AR and sport shooting or hunting I urge you to take a look and sign the petition or file your response to the atf. I will also, share the written brief from ATF in which they ask for input from the people.

I realize some of you may have seen these but if you haven't, here they are. and finally the pdf from the ATF web site;

Try not to get caught up in the M855 buying frenzy and get sucked in by the hawkers trying to make a quick buck on you.  I was in 2 Walmarts in the past 2 days and it was in stock.  If you really and truly need M855 projectiles, be patient and shop around.

I got some stocked, I just think it's wrong and shooters should make there opinion heard to ATF.  And of course some people are already freaked out and some sellers are jackin the prices to the moon.

The M855A1 Enhanced Performance Round (EPR) will in fact penetrate steel and the Army is no longer purchasing M855 ball.  We've gone green....

Anyway, Federal and Remington as well as others will continue to produce 5.56 NATO, I'm sure.

Same thing happened to our beloved 30.06 steel ammo....  it's just a loophole that can be used by the POTUS and AG instead of having to go through Congress...

Continue to fight- at least you know you did SOMETHING and that, my brothers, is more honorable than doing nothing. Write during the public comment period- it does actually factor into decisions- at least in the DOD it does...

Just walked out of my local Walmart the other day with some and priced right where it's supposed to be.  Not my first choice of ammo selection as I prefer using the 55 grain stuff but I figured might as well have some on hand because should they ban this so called "evil" stuff it will be nice to have something that the gov't thinks I shouldn't have.

Like I said it's not my first choice for AR ammo so it won't affect me all that much but there is no legitimate reason to take this away from those that do choose to utilize it.  We have to take a united stand across the board my friends.  My objection letter to the ATF is in the mail.  If we all just let them unjustly go after this unchecked, what's next?  When or where will it stop?

Stopped by Cabella's today and noted that they were totally out of .223 ammo and bullets and brass.

I think the hoarding has already started.

3 days ago the local Cabela's still had 300 rd ammo cans of .223 (PMC) at the circular advertised price of $99.

Of course, that is in CT, permit required to purchase ammunition, hunting license is not enough.

I gots my .223 ammunition, and primers, and cases, and powder, and bullets, and I don't shoot .223 enough to run out in less than a couple of years.

And I gots an out of state connection that can hook me up in a crisis surprised

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Ah, but one that can bring it to me. No shipping, no record, and he can transport it legally into CT if it's a gift and not a purchase

In less than two years a Republican President can undo all the executive orders, EPA nonsense,  foreign policy blunders, betraying of allies, FCC power grabs,  Pseudo treaties and seal our borders. BUT. You must make your children , friends, neighbors, and relatives go to the polls. To often they  stay home thinking their vote won't make a difference. Oh. If they are liberals, let the air out of their tires or threaten to disown them. ( the kids) Actually if the kids are liberals, don't wait till 2016. If they are in Communist indoctrination centers ( college) bring them home. STEVE,"if this is too much  please delete this post. "This is about our 223 ammo though. 9mm will be next.

The ammo sellers certainly made their pound of flesh off of that scare.  Looks like this is a dead issue for the time being, just don't let your guard down.

I will be so damn glad when this group of morons leave the White House they keep my blood pressure raised and we can get some normal thinking folks back in power. You members in California need to get rid of both Senators and a house member from the bay area, that would be a great start.
