Hello everyone,

I purchased this gun used around 1995 for around $200.00. I have kept it in the safe and haven't shot it in years. I have some issues with the firing pin not hitting the primer.

After reading through the forum, Is this a 15-6? The barrel is just over 5" so I imagine that is a 6" standard barrel?

Welcome to thedwf

You have a 15-2 with a 6" barrel & standard shroud. The barrel is measured from the forcing cone (against the cylinder), to the other end at the muzzle. The shroud is roughly 5/8" shorter than the barrel.

Your firing pin issue may just be that there is gunk built up around the firing pin. Try hosing it down well with contact cleaner or brake cleaner, then blast it with compressed air while it's still wet. If that doesn't fix it, remove the firing pin & clean out the hole and pin thoroughly.

Thank you for the info! I really appreciate it.

I'll give that a try.

Welcome to the Forum!

Do you have a barrel wrench and cylinder gap gauge? If so, you should check the cap to be sure it's correct.

Haha! I didn't think it would be worth anything down the road, picked it up to shoot a bunch of .38 I had.

Welcome, and did you get your firing pin issue resolved? I would love to know the answer.
