Steve lives in CT.

I'm marooned in Hamden for another week, then someone else takes over (family issue with a new baby).  So I'll be going back to subChicago and apparently won't have to come back to CT until March. But as the saying goes "I'll be back!". Smile

Again, welcome.

Welcome Good to have you on board. Let us know what Dan Wessons you're interested in, or which ones you already have.

I don't presently have any Dan Wessons but would love to get one.  I also need to get my permit to carry again.  Stupid me, I let it lapse....

You're lucky.  In CT you can get a permit to carry.

Hey Rich, finally another CT guy Big Grin, I've been SO ALONE!

In DWF terms, we're neighbors, I'm in Middletown, and if you want to get together and shoot some DW's, I think I can help out with that, I have one or two (or three or ...).

Depending on how gun friendly your local PD is, your Permit will take anywhere from 4 weeks to forever, but the good news is, this is a good area to buy DW's at pretty good prices. If you had a Permit I could put you on a decent 15-2 8V for $299 today, and yesterday a VERY nice 15-2 6V sold locally for a good price too.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve in CT,

I would love to get together.  I have a 100 yard outdoor range at home.  I could even let you try some of my firearms (mostly rifles).  Ever hear of a Colt Sauer or Colt Sporting Rifle?Uzi

Rich- The DWF Range is on the right side of the Forum, It's a chat area and if you have sound on your computer, the gunshot you hear is a Range post.

100 yard range? I shoot only pistol, hoping to change that soon, and I have access to a couple of rifles, and I have a 44 mag that I'd like to shoot at distance. Back in the day I used to play around with my DW .357 at 100 yards.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Mox,

Love the wood grain on the Colt Sauer. That would make a great DW grip.

Thanks for the Cool Pics and Welcome to the DWF Sign.

Ed

edit: Now as I look closer I see the Colt has a cover on it with the cool grain. Looks good anyway.

Sauer's had nice lines, and were well built guns.  If they could have kept production costs down, they may still would be making them...

I just joined this forum as well and am from CT.  Just bought a DW today, still need to id model number.  It says 357 mag CTG, which I know stands for cartridge, with 6" barrel.  I have contacted CZ for info and need to get pics in and will do so.

Look forward to info from this group.  By the way I got the tool and carrying case but no extra barrels, how sad.Confused Are they available else where?
