In the eairly 80''s I owned a Dan Wesson small pistol pack (3 barrels) Today I just bought a new unfired 6″ 357  fixed sights just like the one I owned then. But now I'm retired and have time to use it.

After I get some oil on it and loosen it up a little. Can you put a scope on a barrel without the slots on top and if so who has the rings? Also can the front sight be changed on fixed sights?

If your barrel is not a "V" (vented) you will probably need to have the shroud drilled and tapped to accept whatever rings/sight rail you choose to use. If you have a small allen screw visible from the muzzle end above barrel nut, you can change the front sight, but be aware that the height of a different front sight will affect POA/POI.

BTW- this forum is full of guys who sold off stuff they wish they had now, me included. Welcome to DWF.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

To mount a scope, you'll have to drill mounting holes in the shroud...unless someone else knows something I don't.

Welcome aboard! Finding an unfired Porkchop is a pretty cool find, IMO.Cool

It won't stay unfired as soon as I get some brass and a set of dies, no store bought bullets for this gun.

Here's "bnich's" DW, he wanted me to slap these pics in this thread for him. As you have decided in another thread Bnich, it's not a Porkchop, but rather a Model 14. Sure looks like it's in great shape from here!Cool

Congrats on being a new owner once again.  I get the feeling it is like being a kid again all over.  Once the bug bites it is hard to stop at just one however.....

Thanks for posting the pic's for me, Yeh I figured out it wasn't a PorkChop but that's  just as well, I dont really like the flat front on them and I'm sure parts are harder to get.

Did DW make a 41 magnum, if so and I think they did that maybe my next or a stainless 357. Have to sell the Glock.

They did make 41 magnums.  They are a bit more difficult to locate but they are around. Check out the member's collections here in the forum.  I know IHMSA 80x 80 has a few photos of some and there may be a few other members with 41's as well.  Good luck in your search.  I do not have one either.
