Hello, I just bought a Dan Wesson 445. Don't know a whole lot about them, so here I am. I've shot it some, but absolutely not enough. I bought it from a friend who bought it new.He needed money so I bought it, with one stipulation, that if I sell it, he gets first chance to buy it back. Honestly, he will never get that chance. Mine has a 10" barrel w/ full underlug an no cuts in the side. Usually I buy single actions and am heavily involved in Cowboy Mounted Shooting. I'm married with two wonderful children. All enjoy shooting, maybe not to the extent that I do, but we shoot often together. Anyway got to get to looking around.drool

Welcome to DWF. I have the .445 too. They are a hoss to shoot. They are like a 454 Casull but more accurate due to its design. Here is a pic of mine.

welcome to the dwf-sign.  My first DW ever was a NIB 7445 VH8 when Bob Serva was building them new.  Congrats on your entry into what will likely become dwas if you hang around here very much.laugh

Welcome from Kentucky! My 7445 is one of my favorite guns to shoot. You started with a good one, and there WILL be more.
