Picked up a 15-2 6" standard barrel model the other day. Looking forward to learning more about these and hopefully picking up a few extra goodies for it along the way as funds permit. Quick question for everyone though, has anyone given any thought to making a rifle length barrel and a stock for these similar to what rossi did with their circuit judge .410/45lc? I think it would be especially cool in the large frame 44 mags. Was just wondering as these revolvers would be perfect for that type of customization.

Welcome from another Floridian. Ocala is my town. Free to own a gun without begging permission. You will have a lot of fun here.                        Rifles have been made out of dans but a stock with a barrel shorter than 16" is a no-no I think. Another problem is the cylinder gap. A lever gun in .44 mag would have a higher muzzle velocity.  A forearm brace ala AR pistol may be the ticket. Build one and you may be the first.

Thanks guys. As for the rifle conversion, i was just thinking that ewk could make a 16" barrel and one could have a custom rifle stock grip and matching fore arm made and put together a DW revolver rifle. It was just something i thought of. I personally cannot do that kind of project as I do not have the funds for something like that. Just thought it would be unique and pretty functional in the 44 mag loading especially.

Every once in a great while a rifle conversion pops up.  If you ever do do it...just beware of the barrel/cylinder gap and keep your hands out of there.  The Rossi revolver rifles have a blast shield to prevent your wrist from getting scorched.

Yes, beware of that BC gap issue.  There is a lot of fire that escapes in that small space as evident in photographs, but rarely caught by the naked eye.
