I've had my Dan Wesson 15-2V for 20+ years, and although I see them at the occasional gun show for sale, I never expected an online forum since, well, we're a little odd-ball ;) ...or should I have said that we're just off the beaten path.

I was really surprised that the number of variations and permutations of Dans seen on here. Is there any particular place to go here to catch up on the proper nomenclature (ie 'Type 1' barrel wrench, etc.)

Anyway, my particular Dan (bought used) came as a single - meaning in the factory box with all of the goodies and only the one 8" Vent barrel. That particular shroud has a problem I'll be asking about later, but subsequently I bought a new 4"VH barrel/shroud, and picked up a too-good-to-pass-up deal ($25!) on a used stainless 6"VH barrel/shroud from a walk-in at the LGS I hung out at.ÂÂ

We're glad to have you join us. Any problem you may have with your shroud can probably be solved by one of the guys here. There are a tremendous number of knowledgeable people here.
