I bought a DW .357 years ago. It was in bad shape visually but worked just fine.
I had the gun re-blued. Ever sense I've had problems with it. I really like this gun and would like to talk to someone about the problems the gun has and what I can do to fix it.
Thanks for hanging in there with Dan Wesson pistols, they are just fantastic.

Welcome to the forum! Dan's are very user friendly this thread gives great info on how to do a DIY tune up to your gun.Average Joe Tuneup.

The Average Joe is a small frame. I believe later on in the series the large frames come up but the initial part will be just like yours. Be sure the hand spring rides in the groove on the back of the hand. Most gunsmiths are unfamiliar with Dans. The good news is most problems are DIY easy. If it must have the services of a Smith, send it home to Norwich. Good luck and let us know how she turns out.
