Uh oh, think I might have the bug, impulsively pulled over at Tim's gun and pawn in Leesburg and found an early 357 that has a 6" compensated vented
shroud and barrel assembly, fixed site's, and has a rubber handle. The gun was in pretty decent shape overall, it did not have the common drag marks on the cylinder. If anyone is interested, they had a price tag of $399.00. I believe it was called Tim's Pawn and Gun. It is located on 441 just south of Leesburg (FL). I was in a hurry so I didn't pay much attention to the name but contact me if anyone is interested let me know and I will look it up and pass it on. I also do know where there are two other 357's, of which I have no money for, let me know if I can help you in any way. I will be picking up my new baby from it's "closet" in which it currently resides and plan on bailing it out in two more days. I promise I'll post photo's as soon as I get it here. Before and after "Spa treatment".

 Oh Oh, I blew it on the shroud type ID for the Dan above. I think it is just a standard vented 6'' shroud. Man, there are so many different shrouds, Thats one of the reasons I have been drawn to this gun. I will be more observant when I check out any more guns .. Actualy the vented compensated shroud is one of the better looking ones in my opinion.... Someday mabey I'll get to be an expert like a lot of you guys whose posts I have been browsing.

also thumbs up for Eric ( EWK) and LB... heck I only shoot with LB's grips now. I also only use EWK barrel nuts.
