well you got me looking.

this site has been bad for my bank balance....my 2nd Dan is at the dealers now...not sure what nic its in so if it needs some work that could be on the cards.

anyone had a go at doing it themselves?

looks like kits are around the $150aud mark.

a company down Brisbane (600km) from here does them.....

how would it go for cleaning ect...

can you get it off once its on?

what about heat?

and even holster wear?

The Guy who finished my gun suggested not to wipe the whole thing down with oil, just clean the barrell and cylinder like you would any revolver and wipe down the rest of the exterior with a soft clean cloth. I cleaned mine with some powder solvent and then oiled the interior of the cylinder and barrell like you would any gun.  This finish is not as tough as bluing or stainless steel. Not even close. After 100 rounds, the finish burned away from the very edges of the cylinder. Hardly noticable and I don't see it getting any worse. If you try though, I would imagine you can scratch it or chip it. I don't want to find out. proud-to-be-an-american
