Checking in from South Suburbs of Chicago. Recently purchased my first Dan Wesson but been admiring them for years. Love this DWX Compact but already running into some functioning issues. Anyone else had issues?

I have a DWX compact and it hasn't had a hiccup yet.
What malfs are you experiencing?

Essentially the slide is not advancing all the way forward and I have to use my thumb to push it to close and then manually recock the hammer. Also, it is not ejecting the previous shell from the barrel and it is trying to load one behind it. I have encountered both these items more than a few times in a few hundred rounds of this firearm.
