Thanks for the links! Looks like maybe the previous owner already smoothed it up in there, most of the surfaces shown in the guide looked free of factory finish already. Anyway, paid a little more than I wanted, but I'm pretty happy so far. I think it's a 78 or 79 Monson (268###), 2,4,6, and 8 inch barrels w/ the vent rib shrouds. No patch or buckle though and a later large frame box, but original instructions and warranty card. A few light scratches on the side plate from the ejector, but all the barrels and shrouds are very nice. A set of Target (? I think, large, checkered, RH offset) and a set of Pachys. It could lock up tighter, but it shoots very well.
