Hello to all of the fine folks (and heck - the rest of ya too!) of the Dan Wesson Forum !

I recently acquired a lovely Model 40 Supermag at my LGS, and would have been lost without the info here.

I will post up some more info in the appropriate sub-forum, but wanted to first introduce myself.

I am located in the Michiana area of Michigan, on the MI/IN border, and am finding myself more and more drawn to classic wheelguns over more modern offerings.

Up until now, S&W has been the go-to for me, but I've always been drawn to the allure and engineering of the DW revolvers.

My chance to acquire one finally came, as I traded a minty Glock 22 (and a little bit of cash) for a beauty of an 8-inch blued 357 Supermag, with an extra barrel.

Guess who is already looking for more DWs ?   :)

Cheers,

Patriot X

Why do you gotta be that way?

At any rate, Patriot: Welcome to DWF, I am one of the "few others" that someone  just had to warn you about, so here goes: Michigan born and raised, MSU Grad, and my Avatar tells a story, I guess.

My son fell into a remarkable deal on a 40, brass, grips, extra barrels, brass, bullets, ...

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

That's just wrong man......

Welcome aboard Patriot.

I would be one of the hinted about and maligned others that the corn dude alluded to.

From one Michigander to another, welcome. I live alittle NE of you in Barry County. A 357 SM was my first Dan, too. It now has to share space with a few more.

Welcome Patriot!  It's good to have more members from the upper midwest.

It's good to see that you acquired DWAS so fast.  The 40 is working its magic.laugh

There will be more.

Enjoy.
