New to the forum so I'm just saying hello! Have only one DW, a 15-2VH with a 6" bbl.
Another forum had a question about DW, never having heard of the company so it got me reinterested. I've had this gun since about 1980, a Monson built, and is probably 99% + as it was my fathers and only fired about 20x. Just got it out and did a side-by-side comp with my Colt Python. I'd say the DW held it's own. Evaluation by current market prices.....the Python is not 3 x the gun by any means.ÂÂ

accurate as any Colt. So....by right it should cost a 1/3 third of a Dan Wesson

And the Truth Shall Set You FREE. The Python is one of the finest production revolvers ever made. I'd rather have 3 DW's, or a Pistol Pack and some money for ammo.
