New to this discussion forum. Been active for many years on others (Colt, S&W etc), but new to DW guns. I am particularly interested in DW 45 Colt guns, so I'm interested to learn about them.  Thanks!

dwf-welcomedwfgoodluck The 45 Colt Dan Wessons are rare. You will have to pay a premium for a 45 Colt much higher than a regular 357 magnum Dan Wesson (lowest priced due to a lot of them available) You can get a nice one for $700 to $800 right now, a large frame gun (44 magnum) they will go for a bit bore maybe $200 to $400 more but it's a buyers market right now. The 45 Colts they do not come up for sale very often can go from $1400 to $2000 depending on rareness and model & condition. They only come in 10 inch, 8 inch, 6 inch & 4 inch   I believe may be wrong on that. I have two of them a very rare 10 inch barrel and also a First Issue (also pretty rare) IMG_6414.JPGImage Enlarger

I appreciate the info. I’ve seen full underlug and partial underlug.  Is that the 745 vs 45?

Full Underlug shroud style is called "Heavy" and comes with solid rib. Vented Heavy has a Vented rib.

Partial Underlug comes in "Standard" (solid rib) or "Vented" (Vented rib).

dwf-welcome to the dwf
