OfflineWhen I began shooting in earnest back in the 80's and 90's and did a little silhouette shooting I learned about these fantastic guns that seemed to be winning everything. Â It has been a long time goal of mine to someday own one. Â
A few months ago my LGS had a 15-2.  I decided to sleep on it.  When I went back the next day, it was gone.  I vowed then and there to never let that happen again.  So a few days ago I was back at the LGS buying  a father's day gift for my father and perused the used gun counter as I always do.  It was sort of hidden in the back.  It's like it was meant to be. Â
The cylinder lock up was as tight as I've ever seen, excellent trigger, and the finish was outstanding. Â SO I left with two father's day gifts. Â Something a little less expensive for my father, and one for me. Â Aside for some minor leading in the bore (already remedied thanks to Hoppes no 9 and some elbow grease) I can't find anything not to like about this new friend.
I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for ya'll later, but at the moment I feel like an adolescent with a new  girlfriend.

OfflineHi- just got my first DW. Actually, I have to finish paying it off, but that shouldn't take too long.
It's an 8" vent rib, with the cut outs.
Until yesterday, I had never heard of the 357 max. It looks to be pretty cool.
Is there a serial number database somewhere so I can figure out when it was made?
Nice to be here.
