Hi DW forum members, thought I'd introduce myself: My name is Mike I live just north of Sydney in Lake Macquarie which is not actually a lake but the largest sea fed lagoon on the east coast of Australia over 42 square miles of lake. I fish the lake on a regular basis and it yields a wide variety of saltwater fish. Here in Australia we have very restrictive rules in regard to pistol shooting and is not easy to acquire and maintain a licence to own and shoot handguns. Despite the difficulty there are many keen hand gun shooters and I am one of those people.

We are required to be a member of a pistol club and are only licenced to shoot at designated ranges mostly in competition, there are some exceptions but these are rare and even more difficult to acquire a licence to do legally. Our club provides 2 x 25 mtr and 1x 50 mtr available for competitions including air pistols, rimfire and centrefire up to .357, black powder and .22 rifle. I mostly shoot a Beretta 87 target .22  (ammo is expensive here) and am currently looking to buy a .357

I joined this forum because I have always liked Dan Wesson revolvers and how he provided a viable option to the existing revolvers available. There a not a lot of DW revolvers used over here but I am aware of the fine reputation they have for reliability and accuracy. Looking forward to learning more about these firearms and participating in the forum.
