Hi guys! Super new to revolvers but not guns. I don't care much about price but more so the history of my wheel gun. It was given to me by my mother in law for Father's Day this year. She got back in the late 80's for what ever reason. Just want to know the production date and model for said gun. Any help would do for a noob like me. Thanks for the looks/remarks/help!!

Assuming the? are digits your gun dates from around 1980. As Dart said, it is a Model 15-2. The 357 CTG is the cartridge it is chambered to. Very nice gun. That may be a Mother In Law to keep. Hopefully the apple didn't fall far from the tree. It is wearing a Pachmyer Presentation grip. You might want to dress it up with a Zebra wood target grip for wearing to Church on Sunday. You should get a barrel tool if you don't have one and read "The Average Joe Tuneup" under gunsmithing. Every Dan owner should know how to take care of their gun. It's not like a Smith and Wesson where all you have to know is to point it and pull the trigger.

605 dart thank you for the welcome and the info. I had an idea it was a 15-2 but wasn't sure, let alone it being a VH.
Ole dog, thank you for your in-depth insight of these guns . I definitely will heed your advice and get to know this gun much more thanks to you. As for the ?'s it's a 66. She is a keeper, she's always given me nice gifts through out the years.
I apologize if I'm all over the place on here, still navigating the site. Once again, THANK YOU gentlemen, I do appreciate your help and knowledge!
