Hello from Southeast Texas. I just purchased my first revolver last night on GB. It is a pristine DW 15-2 with an 8" barrel. As you can tell by my username I am a Glock Fanatic, I own several of them. I ready to learn as much as I can about my new firearm.

Be prepared to learn all there is. Dan Wessons are the Thinking Man's Revolver. If you want to point and shoot buy a Smith or Ruger. If you want the most accurate and durable production revolver made in America you need to learn all about it. Read "The Average Joe Tuneup" in Gunsmithing.
When ejecting cases hold the gun tilted to the left and use your index and middle finger pushing the cylinder open through the frame. It tends to close while the extractor star is extended and scratch the sideplate.

I haven't bought a Dan Wesson in 4 plus weeks. I did bid on a couple but my wife is keeping an eye on me so I didn't bid enough. She says no more guns until the gun room is built and she has the bedroom back. And the laundry room. And the guest bedroom. Fortunately, I am a master of underbidding 😏. Just getting a little excitement by bidding. My Acquisition Syndrome is far beyond Dan Wesson now.
