Welcome to DWF, D11's are a little uncommon.

Is your screen name a hint regarding current/prior Service?proud-to-be-an-american

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome to the forum. You have a very early dan. Those early service revolvers are what started Ddan Wessons reputation for great accuracy. They were the first guns to go up against Smiths and Colts in LE.

good looking pistol. Glad you figured out the uploads... I found best re-size of photos is between 380 and 420. Makes a nice pic in the thread and will magnify as well.

Just put in the info you know brother. Most of us don't truly know the manufacture dates. By the serial # your in the 1970  range.

Welcome!  Nice ole ugly nut porker there.  I'm on the lookout for one to add to the 'set'.  I think you will find this site a wealth of info for all things Dan Wesson.
