hello friends i think guns are in my blood sterams my parents said the only toy i played in child hood is gun and i always want that my reliatives gift me a toy gun  in child hood and have face most worse and good , peace full times in my life for this love but still i like guns

1. They don’t require batteries or cables
2. Their function is simple and fairly easy (most of the time) to troubleshoot
3. They require very little maintenance in order to keep running
4. They can be passed down from generation to generation and still function perfectly
5. They don’t require upgrades or the payment of a monthly fee in order to stay functional
6. You don’t need to buy a new model every year because the one you own is now obsolete
7. They have a certain peacefulness to them

Oh yeah, all the above reasons!

To me, another great aspect of why I like guns is the appreciation of the engineering and craftsmanship that goes into building fine guns! laugh Its hard to describe, but holding and better yet owning and using a finely made gun is a great feeling! That's what's so great about you guys here that are fellow Dan Wesson enthusiasts, you appreciate that! For example to describe the Dan Wesson interchangeable barrel system to a gun guy only to get a blank "why would you want to do that"? look is very disappointing. And gets down right frustrating when they then get all excited about their Highpoint pistol. wink

I definatly agree with all of the above.  The aspect of design and engineering is incredible  The simplicity of such a complex mechanisim. And they are really fun to play with!!

There's something just so neat about the Dans , I'm so glad I chose this type to be my #1gun....proud-to-be-an-american

It actually goes further than that, when you are facing an angry mama bear, you will LOVE guns!!! lol2

Because I like History...

Holding, shooting, cleaning, repairing and generally caring for guns built and used in 1867 (Snider Enfield), 1877 (Martini-Henry), 1917 (P17 and Colt SAA), 1927 (S&W HE), etc.. is well, neat.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Add me to the "fun to play with" group.laugh I do like to play with mine, whether at the range, or merely fondling them at home. And many guns are also beautiful to look at, although not all gun manufacturers can claim that one.lol2

I am glad I am able to own them, and glad I don't live in Kalifornia...that also includes a few choice eastern states.big-grin

My favorite reason for guns and ownership!

I also enjoy having something to caress and tinker with on a quiet evening when the wife is glued to the tube that I can actually understand and tune myself!  wife
