My mighty Min-Pin alerted me to a pair of nice size timber rattlers at the back corner of house other day. I dont normally kill snakes at all…but i aint puttin up with this s*&^! Too many things can go bad with these critters in yard. Been wanting a nice rattler skin, now i have 2 in the tanning solution…gonna make impressive wall mounts !

I have a 13 year old min-pin but she won't even bark at a dog bone.  All she does is eat and sleep.  I have to carry her out to poop.  As far as snakes go I usually kill snakes in my yard, esp. if it is poison.  People say they eat rats but I'd rather have rats than snakes.  BTW, nice snake skin.

Waderman,

They look quality enough for a set of custom boots rather than wall hangers! wink

Nice rattle snake skin. It would make a good belt and hat band or wallet. There are a few where I live.

Glad i don't have those lurking around here!  I think custom Grips for your Dan would make a reminder to those pesky rattlers.  Snake skin covered LB custom Grips (inserts)!!!!     Just a thought!  I wondered where there are two more are hanging around, the pup would have some yummy treats for awhile!

Bull and black snakes around here mostly,  I let'm roam as needed hopeing they keep the rodents in check!  cool-pics

Luckily, I haven't seen any rattlers around my place. Just an occasional small critter now & then.

My dogs cornered this little guy sometime last summer.

That's an impressive skin and it looks much better hanging there than crawling around!

They go good with a mustard biscuit. Mmm! You can kill them with a gun, but I would rather use a kaiser blade, some folks call it a sling blade. Mmm!  laugh
