I agree. My first Dan Wesson came with that tool and it was worthless except for the hex wrenches, and even those were a bit awkward to use.

I have a EWK tool with the .22 pilot to use for barrel change out.
I've been looking at old magazine ads and it looks like this .22 had the two piece tool when new.

It may have. My model 22 didn't have any tools with it so I bought one of the newer ones at the CZ-USA web store. I understand why you would want an original just to have the complete tools. Even though I thought the one that came with my 15-2 was ineffective, I kept it for that reason.
