*I say possible problem because I recall that 22s might be single action only?
Took newly acquired used 15-2 VH10/22LR to range this morning for first shoot.  ÂÂ
Double action does not work.  Trigger only rotates cylinder without drawing hammer back.
Single action appears to work as should, but I did not fire today.   Wanted to get to opinions before I shoot.
Backed off hex screw, and even took it out.  No effect.
Any assistance in diagnosis is appreciated. ÂÂ

The model 22 and model 15-2 use the same size frame, which does not identify the caliber. Since most parts are interchangeable, previous owners could have mismatched the shrouds. We've seen a .357 say it's a .22LR and visa versa. What is the serial number ?

If the gun only chambers a .22 round, then it's not a 15-2 model. It's a model 22 if blued, or 722 if stainless. Also, if there is a Ram rollmarked near the end of the shroud, those were built for IHMSA shooters, and are single action only.

and.... if it came out of CA, then it may have been made to be SA only by a previous owner. Pictures will help. ÂÂ

Was the Silhouette model with the Ram rollmark at the muzzle end of the shroud, only available in 722 or are there 22 blued versions too?

There are blued versions, but don't show up very often. I think one of our members owns a blued one, but I forget who.

Uh, I have 2 blue ones but I have never mentioned it. Several stainless too. If you have never shot a 10" small frame barrel with standard or vent shrouds you are deprived. It is so easy to be accurate it is quite fun.ÂÂ

So mine's a Palmer Blue 10 VH with a Ram.  There is one listed locally also Blue/10/Ram but a Monson.  Condition fair to good.  Asking $700.  Worth it?
