I have inadvertetly bid (at gunbroker) on a porkchop 2 1/2 in. barrel and my .357 is a straight barrel, if I win could this be modified to fit my current Dan Wesson pistol.  Perhaps gridding off the "porkchop" and drilling the shallow "pinned" area?  No one else has bid on it so it may be for sell from me if It can't be modified for use on my pistol.

Thanks for the helpWelcome....DanMcqueen

Probably more trouble than it's worth. GB may allow you to retract your bid if you email them an explanation.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I was watching that barrel--if you end up with it, let me know.  I have a few chops and CF does also.

Grinding off the excess is probably doable, but as Steve said, it may be more trouble than it's worth. Here's an idea of what you'd be looking at...

Thanks...I was so excited about the low price, I didn't look closely at the barrel since thats

a barrel I don't have. But I'll let you know and resale it for less or trade for something.....

I can always use some more grips, leather, tools or something..thanks alotMad
