Man, sounds like the guy had no choice if he wanted to live. Â

The woman, on the other hand, well, I wasn't there and news articles are notoriously short on accurate details. Â From what I read it doesn't sound like he posed a threat to her. Â I would have called 911 and been a good witness but I'd be hesitant to pull a gun on a trespasser who wasn't threatening my family or me.

The good part of both stories is bad guys aren't getting away and good people are still alive. Â

All things considered, I'm not grabbing a gun and going out to the back yard at 3 AM after a guy trying to get out of my yard. You come in (or attempt to come in) my house, let the chips fall where they may. If I shoot someone trying to get OUT of my yard, I think I have a big problem!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
