I just bought a set of Pachmayr Grippers in the original package. I was wondering if I should change the medallion, what would be the correct one, and how hard would it be.

I replaced a Pachmyer medallion with a Ruger 1911. Might have to Dremel the hole a little bigger. The only DW original medallions on a Gripper I have seen is the one included in International Field Pistol packs.
There is a seller on eBay that makes aftermarket DW medallion Pachmyers and sells them for around $100 . A factory Gripper or Presentation grip sells for around $200.

I would not recommend it. I tried it and soon found out those grippers are built like a tank inside with steel under the rubber. The medallions are not a perfect fit the Dan Wesson ones are larger so I tried drilling it out and, well, I still have a messed up gripper grip. There is other grips on eBay with the medallion switched out for $99 I would go that route!
