I'm looking to start shooting some local club matches of IDPA with my 15-2 (once I get a 4" barrel).  I'm not looking to be super competitive, just something fun on the weekend.

I'm looking at the Safariland 568 custom-fit holster for it, since I don't want to be too hard on the finish.

I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for equipment, i.e. holsters, speedloaders, speedloader pouches.

The safariland 568 is an excellent fit for my 14-2 that is the same frame as your 15. It has a nice clicky retention. I strongly suggest safariland comp-2 for your speedloaders or even comp-3's if you want to spend a little more.  You use the k-frame models for your DW.  I just use the inexpensive nylon speedloader pouches for my comp-2's. I shoot my 14-2 in IDPA locally and it is fun and challenging.  Wheel guns R real guns!

Dust,

If you are just using the holster for IDPA get one that doesn't have a thumb break.  If it has a thumb break or other retention strap you have to have it snapped at the ready position.  An open top will save you time.

I carry HKS speedloaders in my concealment vest pocket.  Again if you have snapped carriers they can cost you time.

If you aren't worried about a few seconds or money get a matching lined holster, speedloader and belt set from El Paso Saddlery in fishscale.  That will treat your 15-2 right.

I'm looking at an open top holster, but what would you suggest for an open top speedloader pouch?

I'm not looking to spend too much, because a lot of people around the internet are suggesting some made by Bladetech, but they cost as much as a nice holster.
