Just wanted to know what the consensus is. How many rounds do you put through a single specific weapon a year? Do you think you should do more? Less?

I couldn't count. Too many guns. Somebody asked me the other day how many rolls of film I put through my film cameras each year. Same answer; only I have almost twice as many film cameras as I do guns.
One thing I do know is that I sure have a lot of fun doing both.

In a single gun you say...
My guesstimate is that I've put arround 6000 38s through my S&W M&P PPC special so far this year.
In my DW there has only been arround 1500 rounds.
I really shoud try to shoot some more so I can score higher on 50 yards and beyond.

I didn't check this year, but last year I cranked out over 20k rounds in the 9mm's shooting steel plate 
.... Thank god for progressive reloaders !!!

According to my mostly empty boxes of .357 & .44 Berry's reload bullets, I've shot nearly 2,000 rounds of each this past year.
However, that's been split up between a few Dans, Colts & Rugers.
I would guess that the single gun I've shot the most has been my Super Blackhawk, since it goes with me on every range trip...that gun is just plain fun to shoot. All my other guns take turns going on range trips.

Time to catch up with the times and go digital!!!
I used to do that after photography school, but decided I didn't like seeing the world through a lens. Miss too much

I usually run 10-15K rounds each summer for silhouette. That can be through several dozen guns though, so each one won't get worn out. Might be a several thousand through each one, especially for the rimfires.

I shoot a bunch of rimfire. I'm in a small, indoor local club 1/2 mile from home, where I can shoot .22lr at 50 feet whenever I want to (members get a key to come and go as they wish). On the way home from work, so it's a safe bet that a lot of .22lr goes downrange every year.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
