It typically takes a couple days to a week. Eric stays very busy. EWK is a small business venture run by a person that really appreciates Dan Wesson firearms.  He offers high quality accesories and services to enhance our enjoyment of our DWs

and it's not his primary job....  if you don't hear from him, refresh his inbox after a week.

OK, I sent to him last Sunday, so today could be the day for an answer.

I'm hoping to get a 2.5 in .44 SS standard BA fab'd .

Yeah he usually responds to my emails within a week at most. Sometimes he responds same day but it's usually 3-5 days.

Does anyone know what he does full time?? Just genuinely curious. He must be one hell of a smart and driven guy.

I assume you're reaching out to Eric over DW due to the cheaper cost? I gave up waiting and just bought one (2.5" SS 357 and 44 mag BA) from DW and had it within a week or so.

Reaching out in hopes that I can get a standard BA.

The one C-Z has in stock looks to me to be a heavy lug and it looks like it may be brushed and the sight set screw comes in from the side.

I am going to try to be PATIENT wow

All of my CZ BA's are brushed, heavy lug and the sight set screw are in the front/muzzle end.

What's the alternative to being brushed? Just curious. Probably wouldn't hurt to email Bob at DW as I'm sure he can do just about anything you want - minus the standard lug?

Busy? I sent him a 2.5" for bluing four months ago, maybe longer. He answers quickly, and tells me he's up to his neck in work but he'll get around to doing a batch soon...so I try not to bug him too much.

I have a Monson 715 and a Palmer 744 and the CZ barrel finish matches pretty damn well. Only difference is the engraving is lasered on the shroud. YMMV.

Holy crap. Though I can’t say I’m surprised. I’ve been waiting for almost 2 years for his 15" railed 357 BA...last I heard from him he said he’d have him done sometime the first of the year....

He's that good, but I'm not saying that's a business practice or he'd go broke ( and it was only $50 anyway). I suspect he felt bad cause I had sent it to him many months ago and kept bugging him here and then. At any rate, I'm very happy with the results, considering the shroud was in pretty rough shape. I'd say borderline. It looks very good and shiny .IMG_3418.JPGImage Enlarger
