Hello Fellow DW fans.

I am having some severe withdrawal symptoms from my favorite revolvers. I had serious back surgery on January 29th and February 1st.  During my recovery, my doctor told me not to lift anything heavier than a nightgown. As a result of those instructions, I have not been able to get to the range and do any type of shooting. I see him this Tuesday and hope he will allow me to get out and shoot some light caliber revolvers. I'm getting plenty of exercise and doing some very light work in the shop I had built, but not being able to shoot or ride my motorcycle is pushing my limits. At this point even shooting a 22 would be a thrill.

Prayers and sympathy would be appreciated. big-grin

Steve.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Withdrawal Update.

First, I would like to thank everyone for the well wishes and comments.  I am doing very well and went to my doctor today for my 12 week follow up.  Now here comes the PROBLEM!!!  I DID NOT ask the Nurse Practitioner if I could go shooting or ride my motorcycle. I got so excited when she told me that my x-rays looked great and I could start lifting 20 to 25 pounds that I clean forgot to ask about them. I even fussed at my wife on the way home for not reminding me to do that. (Actually, I didn't, but it makes me feel better to say I did).

Oh well, I have sent her a message on their app, and I hope to hear from her in a couple of days.  I swear it was the drugs they used in my surgery that made me forget. Not a chance it is my old feeble mind. wink

I hope everyone is doing well.

Steve.

Gun weighs less than 20 lbs!  Motorcycle may be different deal, if something should happen and you gotta stop it from laying over you’ll exert more than 20-25 lbs effort.  Happy shooting!

Welllllll the Nurse Practionier got back with me and said I need to wait until at least 6 months after surgery for any "high impact" activities. So, it looks like I will have to tough it out and wait another 3 months to play with my toys. crycry

Well, at least you won't have to wait a year or something crazy like that!
