I agree, the gun looks cleaner without them, IMO. I guess from a tactical standpoint, they may be an advantage? I'm not very tactical (nor do I have much tact 
…but I have been called tacky
), so I doubt it would be much use to me.

I do not really know if it has them or not. I did not realize that building a 1911 was so much like going to Subway for a sandwich until I got into all the questions and options from CZ. I really wanted the gun to resemble the SSC 1911's you see from time to time. I did get a custom serial number as part of the build. It is a stainless gun.
