Some of you may remember a post I submitted about a year and a half ago, when I embarked on a project to have a Trijicon sight mounted on my Mod 744 .44 Mag. I enlisted the aid of a machinist friend who also makes parts for Colt and some other gun makers as well as some other custom shops.
I asked him to drill and tap my barrel shroud to accept the Wigand mount. Well, to make a long story short, he has been so busy and just did not have time to get to it and consequently, my gun sat in his safe for the better part of the last year and a half. He finally called me over the holidays and said he got it done. So, the next trip out to California I picked it up. I haven't fired it as of yet but I'm happy with how it turned out and as promised, here are the photos of the finished product.
