I was just cruising the site and noticing the banner pics.  One of my favorites just came up and thought I would share it. This is one of wdelack's photos which featured the 745.  I personally could never get tired of looking at this one.

The rotating banner pictures is one of my favorite features of the DWF site!

Every now and then I see my first gun/first DW. I just sit and look at what is a fairly average picture of the most common gun we see here, a 15-2 6", and go "HUH, there's where it all started".

Pretty cool.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Oddly enough I just saw my first DW a few minutes ago.  It was a 14-2 4".  I'm the guy that bought the gun from a woman and she gave me a free dozen "yard" chicken eggs.  I still plan to post pictures of the eggs and the 14-2 but am waiting on delivery of the 14 pork chop I recently purchased on GB.

I've only been a member for a few weeks now but you wouldn't believe how much time I spend reading, learning and getting a general knowledge of the DW here.  Everyone has been super nice and helpful.  I'm hoooooked on DW.  Thanks for making me welcome. Proud To Be An American

Same here, that was an excellent idea you had, Jody.occasion  I often scroll up to the top when clicking on a new thread, just to look at theCool Pics

I never tire of looking at Wayne's pics either, they're very nicely done. Smile

Oh no, the rotating banner is terrible! It keeps making me want to spend more money so I can build myself an half decent collection of Dans!

How does one get pics submitted to the banner rotation or future calanders and such?

Those banner pics is what inspired me to do some "artsy" photos.

Jody, you hit the nail on the head with the banner.  It's a perfect feature.  The problem for me is all the pics are great and I don't have one favorite.  I do drool over all the Super Mags.  I want one, it's just a matter of what I will fall into.  You know every once in a while a deal comes your way and you can't refuse.  I'll thank Steve-CT for the opportunity for the 15-2 I have again.Drool

Anyone that has cool shots they would like included in the banner can send high resolution pictures to files@danwessonforum.com.  Be sure to tell me what your screen name is so I can include it in the photo.  It's preferable that images be at least 920 pixels wide.  Also anyone wanting to do the cropping can just provide me images that are 920x150.

We hold a contest where members get to vote for their favorate photos for the calendar.  We start taking photo submissions around the middle of August and end at the end of September.

I love the rotating banner. Sometimes, after I've caught up on all the forums, I will just sit here and keep clicking the banner to view all the great pics. Am I weird?

OK, so I'm not as weird as my wife thinks.. Dean and SMF- I'm w/ ya!  I do it sometimes just to show her how good of a job Jody does w/ the cropping of the ones I've submitted.

It's just plain Kewl!

You NEVER walk away from a clean 15-2 under $300, unless you already have several. Actually, right now I wish I'd bought that one, but I know it went to a good home.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
