OfflineIt is disturbing to see pistols that have blown up. However one good thing is that the barrel or the top strap over the cylinder blew straight upward. It doesn't look like the shooter would have been hurt to bad. He might have had an oil slick in his underwear, but other wise I would think they walked away.

Gary: I have thought the same that a steel frame would weather a Kaboom
better than a polymer or carbon fiber frame. Others argue that with the
poly's it's broke or not broke and that a steel may be tweeked, bent or
something that would be missed by a person. Also shards of steel flying
back at the shooter will do more damage than plastic.

Don't know which is really better, I just know I feel safer with my hands
wrapped around metal when there's 25,000 to 40,000 psi going down
the tube.
