Probably worth it. I have one I haven't shot yet. From Bill. They are well done and seems a reasonable price.
Bill flips them. He does work on them to my knowledge. He does not know who did the conversion. I would think that with 9mm being relatively less expensive to use, that at least some members would be making it a regular range gun?
The lack of responses has me shying away from it. Anyone shooting a 15-2 to 9mm conversion?

OfflineI have one that I shoot in steel challenge matches at my club range. Not from Bill - Ole Dog gave me a 9mm cylinder (I don't know who made it.) After some gunsmithing and obtaining a custom 4inch 9mm (.355 bore) barrel it works great. However, I do recommend that you run any factory ammo through your press for an extra amount of crimp, otherwise there will be a lot of bullets coming out of the casing and jamming the cylinder. Also, do not use steel case ammo. The cases will expand too much after firing and jam in the cylinder.

Good Insight! Thanks.

OfflineAs far as I know, Bill has someone that does it for him. He has had at least half a dozen of them over the years. I have two in I think, haven't shot them. I will one day. I also have 2 of the nine stainless 9mm cylinders that I got from DW when they were selling the last of their inventory. Several Forum members have received one. Snakeye, CBurton, Charger fan, Hugelk and one or two others. I am going to use one on a 715 or a 15-2 FB ,and one as a switch cylinder assembly for a porkchop gun.

OfflineSometimes I hate you guys. Every time I get on the Forum, I find something new I have to have. I thought I was a serious collector, not even close. Just got off the phone with Bil G. and bought the 9mm conversion. Last week someone bought a 15-2 solid rib pistol pac (which I don't have). I have the V and VH, now I need (not want, need) this. 2 for sale I'm looking at now. I hope you guys are happy.
P.S. Bill G. has a gunsmith do the work and a couple of more are on the way. He's trying to thin the herd a bit. 9mm a lot cheaper on the wallet and I have around 2000 rounds in the safe

OfflineUPDATE:
Not only did I get the 15-2 9mm, I also got my 15-2 solid rib pistol pac. Problem is it never ends. I have a15-2 V and VH superpac. Now the bad news,. I need to chase down the 3 superpac barrels for the new pac. I know who out there has them and I know they won't be cheap. At least I'll save money on ammo. Now I need to unite my 715 V with the rest of the family. Stay tuned.
