OfflineI wasn't really interested so I only looked at the first picture because I've never seen one. But I do see the Crack. Definite deal breaker.

The zebrawood tree has the tan and stripes on the heartwood. The sapwood is the white wood. The dark bands denote winter growth, the tan is more rapid summer growth. Same with any tree. The logs are quartersawn to produce the parallel lines as opposed to wavey lines. The log is first cut into quarters.

OfflineThe Doorknob is a highly sought after barrel wrench by collectors. It came with the later Norwich, NY. models small and large frame. I had one years ago and regret selling it to this day.

The doorknob tools were from the early Norwich years. 1994 or 95 was the transition from Palmer to the Bob Serva Norwich years. The first revolvers from Norwich were several years later. The factory machinery was worn out and Serva started CNC machining. 1911 production started around 2000. In 2005 CZ bought DW. I think the doorknobs were fazed out under CZ. The First Issue revolvers were the made during just the beginning of the Serva era. When CZ took over all they produced was the 715 and 1911s.
When they bought Colt they stopped DW revolver production. The started making faux Snake guns again and the values of real Pythons has plummeted except for rare ones. BTW, the 41/4" barrel length is because barrels of 4" or shorter are illegal in the People's Republic of Canada. I hope they don't start making Dan Wesson revolvers again .

I went in early. Not sure much I want to go. I have found that my hand-tightening with the knob, requires re-tightening while shooting on the Large Frames
Learn something new every day - I haven't owned or used one. You can't get a good grip to tighten enough?
